WILFRED TAYLOR RESERVE - Due for Completion Late 2019

Wilfred Taylor Reserve is located in the City of Onkaparinga, which is deemed its largest recreational reserve. The playspace is designed to be a destination playspace and aims to appeal to a diversity of ages and abilities. The playpsace is separated into key nodal themes to reflect sense of place, environment and educate around sensory experiences and physical challenges. Its location provides strong visual connections to the wilder Christies Creek corridor.

The design team has worked closely with indigenous Artist Allan Sumner and Kaurna Elders to develop interactive and playful indigenous experiences that will be used as cultural and play markers along Christies Creek.

PSLA facilitated a series of workshops with council staff representing key departments including, arts, asset management, biodiversity, project management and maintenance. This process successfully presented the methodologies and underlying principles for the design approach whilst providing an open forum to discuss benefits and risks.

PSLA is currently in documentation phase with construction due for completion Late 2019
