Forbes Children Centre - Completed MAY 2017

In 2015 PSLA was engaged to revamp the  babies & toddlers and preschool courtyard spaces to better
reflect the early years learning framework. PSLA consulted with the sites educators to identify issues and opportunities for greater nature play experiences. The centre has a strong established focus on the Reggio Emilia pedagogy with the environment seen as the third teacher.

The site leadership & designers wanted to maximise every  corner of the confined courtyard to facilitate a diversity of play experiences and affordances. Risky play was also a  key consideration that was tailored to age and ability.
